Hello, and thank you for visiting my about page!

 

I'm Dr. Stephanie Swift, and I established Swift Science Writing in 2012 to provide top notch freelance science writing, medical writing, evidence synthesis, consultancy, editing, proofreading and social media management services in the medical, healthcare and scientific sector.

 

After getting my Ph.D in Virology and Molecular Biology at the University of York in the United Kingdom, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at McMaster University Immunology Research Centre in Hamilton, where I managed human clinical trials while working as a part-time freelance science writer and blogger. I then moved to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, Canada, where I worked full-time as a science writer.

 

After that, I trained in systematic reviews, and worked as part of an Evidence Assessment Group for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). I now have more than 6 years of experience in running end-to-end systematic reviews for health technology assessment (HTA) submission and generating a wide range of evidence synthesis outputs.

 

I am a member of the Association of British Science Writers and aim to bring a rigorous, reliable, transparent, customised and high quality approach to all my freelance work.
